From Disney Darling to Pop Icon: The Epic Rise of Miley Cyrus.

Miley Cyrus is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She gained fame for her role as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel television series "Hannah Montana."

Born as Destiny Hope Cyrus, she came into the world on November 23, 1992, in Franklin, Tennessee. She grew up with five siblings, two of whom were her biological siblings, and the other three from her parents' previous relationships.

Miley's godmother happens to be the legendary country singer, Dolly Parton. When Miley was just an infant, she acquired the nickname "Miley" because she was always smiling.

Even at a young age, Miley showed a passion for horseback riding, starting her equestrian pursuits as early as two years old. However, she also exhibited a mischievous side.

Prior to her teenage years, she displayed some rebellious behavior that got her expelled from her private school. One incident involved her stealing her teacher's motorized scooter, and she even taught the other kids about French kissing, though it's unclear if she actually demonstrated it to them.

Throughout her childhood, Miley shared a close relationship with both of her parents but had a particularly unique bond with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.

In fact, her father played a significant role in her early career. He employed her for her first job, paying her $10 to collect the bras and underwear that his fans would throw on stage during his performances.

In 2001, when Miley was just nine years old, her father's acting job took him to Toronto, Canada. Miley accompanied him and, while in Toronto, he took her to see a production of the musical "Mamma Mia."

It was during this experience that Miley decided she wanted to pursue acting. She subsequently enrolled in acting classes at the Armstrong Acting Studio in Toronto, where she honed her skills.

Miley's breakthrough in the entertainment industry came in 2003 when she landed a role in Tim Burton's film "Big Fish." This marked her acting film debut, opening doors to further opportunities.

In 2004, Miley competed against a thousand other hopefuls and emerged victorious, securing the lead role of Miley Stewart in the hit Disney Channel show "Hannah Montana." Initially, she had auditioned for the role of Lily Truscott, the main character's best friend, but her talent and charisma impressed the casting directors, leading her to the starring role.

The success of "Hannah Montana" propelled Miley Cyrus into the spotlight. She became a household name and amassed significant wealth from her work on the show.

In 2007 alone, she reportedly earned an estimated $18.2 million. However, as time went on, Miley desired to break away from her Disney persona and explore her own identity.

In 2008, Miley legally changed her name from Destiny Hope Cyrus to Miley Cyrus, signifying a new chapter in her life and career. She began venturing into feature films and music outside of the "Hannah Montana" franchise.

While her film endeavors didn't achieve the same level of success, her music, including the hit single "Party in the USA," achieved remarkable popularity and became one of the best-selling singles of all time.

Ultimately, "Hannah Montana" concluded its run in 2011, allowing Miley Cyrus to transition further into her own artistic path. In 2013, Miley Cyrus made headlines with her controversial performance at the MTV Video Music Awards.

During the show, she twerked and engaged in provocative dance moves on stage while performing her hit single "We Can't Stop" and during a duet with Robin Thicke on his song "Blurred Lines."

The performance received a lot of attention and sparked a major controversy regarding her transition from her wholesome Disney image to a more provocative and adult persona.

Following her performance at the VMAs, Miley Cyrus continued to push boundaries with her music and public image. Her album "Bangerz" was released in 2013 and featured a more mature and experimental sound compared to her previous work.

The album spawned several successful singles, including "Wrecking Ball," which became her first number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Since then, Miley Cyrus has continued to evolve as an artist, experimenting with different musical styles and genres. She has released several albums, including "Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz" in 2015 and "Younger Now" in 2017. She has also ventured into acting, appearing in films like "The Last Song" (2010) and "Crisis in Six Scenes" (2016).

Regarding her love life, Miley and Liam Hemsworth were in an on-again, off-again relationship for several years. They first met in 2009 while filming the movie "The Last Song" and began dating shortly afterward. The couple got engaged in 2012 but called off their engagement in 2013.

After a period of separation, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth rekindled their relationship in 2016 and got engaged again.

They got married in a private ceremony in December 2018. However, their marriage was short-lived, and they announced their separation in August 2019, just eight months after getting married. Their divorce was finalized in early 2020.

Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson were reported to have started dating in October 2019, shortly after Miley's separation from her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth. After which she moved onto Maxx Morando in the end of 2021.

Overall, Miley Cyrus's career has been marked by a significant transformation from her early days as a Disney Channel star to her current status as a boundary-pushing artist known for her bold and provocative performances.
