Jada Pinketh Smith Talks About Oscar Slap, Hopes For A Peaceful Reconciliation

    Red table talk hosted by Jada Pinketh smith, Willow smith and Jada's mom Adrienne Banfield-Norris has been on since mid 2018. The show which features special celebrity guests had an interesting episode recently.

    We heard the joke, but interpreted it differently..The Oscars GI jane joke got the  people laughing including Will smith initially, but a turnout of events got him slapping the comedian (Chris Rock).

   Many individuals had a thing or more to say publicly after this event including Chris Rock's mom who said 'When you hurt my child, you hurt me'. After the event, the governing body of the Academy Awards also blocked Will smith for 10 years.



      Speaking on the topic,the red tables guest Niki Ball opened up about her daughters suicide earlier this year.  12 year old Rio Marie Allred born 30th June 2009 died on the 14th of march 2022  as a result of being bullied for her alopecia. 

     The alopecia issue sparked up conversations about the Oscar event and for the first time since the event, Jada smith had something to say publicly about the slap. 

"Now, about Oscar night … my deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out and reconcile. The state of the world today, we need them both and we all actually need one another more than ever," she said. 

    It seemed more like this particular episode was dedicated to creating and awareness on the "alopecia" issue and those dealing with the mental problems that could come with it. Pinketh made mention that thousands of people had reached her with their stories after she publicly announced her health condition and more after that Oscar event.


The actress still speaking on the Oscar slap added: " 'Till then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years and that's to keep figuring out this thing called life together."
